The Keepsake (2008) - Plot & Excerpts

I really enjoyed this book and found myself interested in topics I never knew I was interested in. It was a happy medium of not being too factual that it spoilt the 'story' of the characters. Tess has blended just the right amount of knowledge to keep the reader interested but not to overdo it so it sacrifices a great book. I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot from it too. There will definitely be an interesting discussion at the dinner table about this one. I love the shocked faces of my relatives when they ask "how on earth do you know this??" The Keepsake by Tess Gerritsen.A discovery unearthed in the basement of the Crispin Museum. It appears to be that of a mummy later named Madame X. Maura Isles, the medical examiner, finds a message inside the mummy. Soon Isles also discovers that this is no mummy centuries old but rather a victim recently murdered.I was immediately intrigues by this story which offered a mystery that included ancient Egypt as it's focused. Unfortunately, The depth of the story did not continue. My interest came and went as the story went on. I do enjoy the partnering of Rizzzoli & Isles.

What do You think about The Keepsake (2008)?

Not necessarily one of her best, in my opinion, but entertaining none the less.
