De Verloren Verhalen (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the rest of them. I am glad John to the time to answer the many lingering questions and to fill in the gaps. I also did not like the attempt of using a third person perspective with an archeologist and his apprentice digging up lost stories. I would much rather had a descendant king or relative find the stories and convey them....Overall a good read and important to he story line. I was so sad to have finished the Ranger's Apprentice series but this last installment with several short stories was the perfect way to let go of the addiction I had for Halt, Will, Horace and the others. Every story had it's charm and got a good laugh out of me. I loved the one about the speech Will was to write for his friends' wedding, not just because of Halt's sarcasm, but because I happened to be helping a friend with an article and some of redundancies reminded me of the book: fiction had become life! Erak is always a delight to have in a story and I loved his encounter with the Emperor of Nihon-ja. If you're reading the series and despair to finish it but cannot help read on and on, know that the last volume will help you let go of the characters.

What do You think about De Verloren Verhalen (2012)?

I was bored with this book. Some of the stories were enjoyable but others seemed pointless and long.
