Angel Dance (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

I think if I was really bored, and had absolutely nothing else to read, I might have finished this book. I forced myself through the first third, and decided it was just too boring. Not to mention the annoying way some things were written. For instance, pretty much each new character introduction started with height, weight, hair color, facial features, etc. If it's not relevant to the story, then it's just filler....something to skim over. I can handle a bit of this, but It happened almost every time. There were several little mistakes that pulled me out of the story, like this one: "Robbie, we haven't seen Gina's office yet. While the report's running, would you mind unlocking Gina's office so I can have another look around". How can you have another look around when you haven't had a first look around? I know this is trivial, but there were enough of these little things to put me off.In the end, I have to say it wasn't necessarily a bad book. I've just had my fill, at least for now, of books that need a REAL editor. I think some people think it's just about spelling errors, but I can overlook spelling if the flow is there. Sorry, I just wasn't feeling it with this one. Ex Special Forces hero,Danny Logan turns Seattle PI. He and his crew team up with the police to try to discover what happened to Gina Calabria, daughter of a local high profile business man with ties to the Chicago mob. Logan and his team soon discover that the Mexican drug cartel is mixed up in this whole mess - packed with surprises, twists and turns this is a great start to a new mystery series.
