Vixen and The Vet is a story that will take your breath away and steal your heart. I happened upon it in the Hometown Heros complilation for Pets for Vets.I do not want to be a spoiler... The characters in this story are very well thought out. Each one has a very real persona and I felt like I could go to Danvers and get to meet them. The story of Asher and Josie will make your heart break and swell. The entire story and characters made me laugh, swoon and cry. I highly recommend Vixen and The Vet. However, more importantly, I hope this story will teach everyone who reads it to honor our Vets. If they have been injured, disfigured and/or handicapped to NOT treat them any differently. I must admit that this book sat in my queue for a while on my kindle before I decided to read it. Now that I have read it, I can't believe I waited so long to read it. I absolutely loved this book. I rated it a five because any book that has you laughing, crying, staying up in the wee hours of the night to finish it and leaves you thinking about it after the fact deserves it. Also, I loved that it gave an insight to how vets feel when they return home with disfigurements and how the public treats them. Again, I enjoyed the nicely written love story.
