The Girl Who Ruled Fairyland — For A Little While (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
I was between books and needed a little something. Like a scoop of sorbet between courses. This was utterly perfect. Quick. Beautiful. Charming. Lovely. Magic. It made me feel like I was 7 or 8 and sitting on the carpeted floor of the school library, listening to a story.... Yet it resonated with me as an adult. The language was amazing: as you read you could feel the words in your mouth. This books begs to be read out loud.I highly recommend this one-sitting jewel of a book to take you someplace enchanting. Or snuggle up with someone of any age and read it aloud. This one is probably cheating, since according to Amazon it's only got 31 pages.I was curious of it because it seemed part of a series that I saw someone reading. And that title was intriguing all by itself...but it's become a habit of mine to always check all books available by the same author even if I don't obtain them all.And hence cometh my downfall.But these 31 pages were promising, oh, so very promising, I can't wait to tackle the main works already.I'm even contemplating the possibility of abandoning my long standing to-reads and keep on reading this series... but then it'll be over too soon.So instead I'm here, trying to find adjectives to describe what I feel about this little piece of the Fairyland universe.Magical, is probably one. Enchanting another. Full of charms.

This is a pretty good little prequel. Very quick read since it is only a few pages long.
