All Sapphire wanted to do was forget her less-than-stellar date with Ivan. But her body had other ideas. It was coming alive, every nerve ending sparking with desire the longer she stood next to Jake. He looked so big and sexy standing there with a scowl on his face. So solid. So…hers. She swallowed and looked away, trying to ignore the heavy throbbing between her thighs. So many changes and no time for her to really settle into the new life she was trying to build for herself. Jake cupped her chin and tipped her face up so she was forced to look at him. Wearing high heels brought her closer to him than she normally was. “I’m fine.”
