All the World by Liz Garton Scanlon is a Caldecott Medal Award Winner. This book shows all different parts of the world with different families. It also shows what the world has to offer and all the beauty that comes with it. This book made me think about all the different places I have been and how wonderful the world is. The major theme of this book is appreciating what this world has to offer to everyone. I would read this book to my students and have them draw different pictures of where they have been in the world or where they would like to visit.

This book definitely has some of the best illustrations I have ever seen. They are so big and beautiful that it makes the book so captivating. This book is a great poetic book that has a really sweet message inside. The stress on how everything around us means something is a really important message because we need to be more grateful for the things around us. This is a great book to teach diversity and rhymes. I really loved this book!
