Lucifer's Saint (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I absolutely LOVE the way this book starts out. It's not very often that you get the chance to read the same scene from different character perspectives. In Lucifer's Saint, the first half of the book follows the same story as it's predecessor, Lucifer's Rogue, only from Dimitri and Maia's point of view. It fills in more of the missing story and explains what happened when Voss and Angelia were not around, which in turn created a much bigger picture! I found myself stopping and thinking back, so that's why she was so angry when... or that explains the look they exchanged... Around the halfway mark ends the storyline from the first book and begins it's own unique story. Angelica and Maia both planning their weddings, their brother off to help Narcise, and of course Dimitri, or rather the always ill-tempered Earl of Corvindale, was well, ill-tempered. It wasn't until a face from his past reappeared that he started the realize his carefully constructed armor was beginning to crack. As always, Colleen packed in the sarcasm and action, creating another page turner! I totally fell in love with Dimitri in Voss & Angelica's book. I actually wanted to hear his and Maia's story a bit more than I did the first story. Not that I didn't like it but I felt a better connection with this couple. The downside was the beginning of the book which felt very repetitive since it retold parts of the first book. I went directly into reading book 2 after book 1 so I found that to be a bit irritating. Maybe if there had been months between readings I wouldn't have minded. That being said Dimitri and Maia are a sexy couple. I could have drowned in their super hot kisses alone. The story backtracks to when Chas's sisters come to live with Dimitri and continues through Angelica's abduction and her being saved by Voss and their subsequent engagement and then the story continues with the growing attraction between Dimitri and Maia. *sigh* Dimitri is totally dreamy and I love Maia's spunky, take no crap character. They are perfect for each other.

What do You think about Lucifer's Saint (2014)?

I have to say that if I hadn't read the prior book this would have made no sense whatsoever.
