Kissing Coffins (2007) - Plot & Excerpts

Vampire Kisses- Kissing Coffins, by Ellen Schreiber, pages: 377. In the series a girl named Raven Madison lives in the small town called Amityville or Dullsville but nothing happens in the town. But one day a mysteries family moves into the Mansion on top of Benson Hill. When she finds out who lives there, she finds that a prince of the night, Alexander Sterling; and his butler Jameson. Over time hanging out with Alexander, she finds out that he’s a vampire. In the beginning of the second one she is going out with Alexander. But, he has been missing. Raven is out to find her gothic mate but will she get hurt as she finds out something she shouldn’t have done? With the characters, plot, and style in the story may have within it. tEach character has a dark side. Each is different and is never alike. But, overall none of them are the same. The characters are different to each person’s liking. Raven is loving and caring, but is still goth on the outside in. Alexander is a lovely artist and great taste in music. Jagger is the guy you wouldn’t want to get on his bad side, but still loves his sister. Luna is the girly goth and can’t stay away for a guy she likes…a lot! Each character is either round or flat…by that it means that Raven is round; she changes throughout the story. Unlike Jagger, Luna, and Alexander they stay the same. The plot of this story is on that Raven is out to find Alexander after he left without telling her. So thanks to Becky, her best friend; she goes to Hipsterville, by a note that Alexander got from someone (There was no name) in Hipsterville. She stays with her Aunt Libby, who lives there. But soon as Raven starts to look for Alexander, she gets side track by a club for Goths. It’s called the ‘Coffin Club’. When she gets use to the club and starts to ask if they saw a boy with black hair or a man with a dark gray coat. She gets more than she hoped. She meets this other vampire named Jagger Maxwell; and soon is wanted by him. Alexander finds this out and goes get Raven and save her! (YAH!) When Jagger finds out where Alexander lives, he comes for a little visit. By that it means that he brings his sister Luna for some payback. The style of the story is a one character point of view. This means that one character throughout the WHOLE series. Raven Madison is the girl who is giving her thoughts and feeling without the books. Alexander and the other characters say what they feel. Raven can’t write minds! XD But she is different from the other girls that Alexander has met. She gives us what her room looks like to what she is wearing. She gives each characters a way they act and talk, but also how they do in school or after school hours.Seeing that the characters, plot, and style are each part of the story, but can change the little things that may be changed or added to the story. Raven Madison goth, caring, different, and most wanted to vampires…but one is hers forever…and only one…

Zajímavá postava a fajn záporák, takový správný a fešák...

What do You think about Kissing Coffins (2007)?

Even though I didn't read the first book, I thought this, as well as the other books, were spectacular! The way that there is romance and action I couldn't put the book down. Ellen Schreiber really did good with this book and this series. *******SPOILER ALERT******* Raven Madison just found out that her boyfriend, Alexander Sterling, is a vampire. But Raven isn't scared. She’s wanted to be a vampire since she was four years old. And she still wants to be one. She's wants to be turned by Alexander. But how is he going to do that if he's is in Hipsterville? Raven goes to her hippie actress aunt who lives in Hipsterville. One night when her aunt went to work raven goes to a nightclub called the coffin club. She has some drinks (no, not liquor) and goes to the bathroom. Somehow she ends up in Jagger's, who is a vampire also, apartment. She runs back to her aunt's apartment. She finds Alexander and they go back to Dullsvilles.

I started reading Kissing Coffins as soon as I was done reading Vampire Kisses. It starts where the first book ends. Raven, the outcast goth girl, finds that her love, Alexander, has apperently vanished. She finds his family's mansion packed up and empty. While racking her brain trying to find a reason for the disappearence, a clue to his location sends her to a whole new town. While there, we meet some very interesting characters including a not-so-helpful bartender, and a strangely attractive young man who seems way to desperate for Raven to tell him who she's looking for. I'll let you read what happens from there and decide on your own, but this book is truely more eventful than Vampire Kisses and kept me quite glued to my seat. I was eager to finish and was very pleased with the end when I did.

I know I always do a review on these books but they are from my all time favorite series! In this book you're left hanging at so many points and you have no idea what will happen next. It's like a tragic and happy love story that's filled with lots of suspense, more than the first book. You meet a new, intriguing character who has a lot going on. He definitely captures your attention and you'll have to keep reading to know what will happen next. He seems so vicious and scary from the description that the author gives. There's lots of action in this book. I couldn't put it down! It starts off right where the first book ended, which to me is better than most series that start off with a different scene. I wish there was a movie to these books.
