Her Holiday Man (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

What a wonderful holiday story of starting over. Both Will and Christina are starting over from a family tragedy and a financial scandal, respectively. Nathaniel, Christina's son, is adorable. I like the interaction between them all and how they worked together to make things work for everyone. Gail babysat so Christina could work and Nathaniel has the best of both women caring for him. Will returns home to be closer to his mom after his father's death and doesn't want his mother to be taken advantage of. he ends up attracted to Christina. Good pace to this story, nice connection for the H/h and a holiday story to boot. I loved the epilogue at the end of the story to show how things worked out for everyone. Her Holiday Man is such a sweet story! Christina was the unsuspecting victim of a Ponzi Scheme, put on by her ex husband which left her not only financially broke, but without any resemblance to who she has always been. She finds work in a small Northeastern town and is rebuilding her life when she meets Will. Will has his own ghosts to fight, his late wife and unborn daughter were killed in an accident.I love stories where both of the characters are fighting their chemistry for very logical, real reasons. Both of these leads are incredibly strong characters, and there’s never a moment where you think “Ugh! She’s too good for him!” like seems to be the case all to often lately.Full of Shannon Stacey’s authentic charm? You can’t help but fall in love with these characters and their small town romance! You’re cheering for them from page one, and not wanting this one to come to an end! (Although this little story is well laid out, and the characters are fully developed! As always? I LOVE Shannon Stacey, and cannot recommend her amazingly sweet stories enough!
