This is another wonderful installment in the Spellbound Falls series by Janet Chapman. What I love most about the series is the way the author blends magic and reality, without going overboard. The magic elements just seem to flow into the reality elements, with the reader often not even aware what is happening until it does or after the fact. In this installment, Rana Oceanus, a mortal married to a god, and Titus Oceanus, her husband of forty years have drifted apart. Rana has left to sort things out. Titus, who can deny his wife nothing, cannot understand why Rana has left and pursues her to find answers. Their differences stem from those things that naturally keep us all apart when they are present: misunderstanding, poor or no communication, half-truths, etc. The author has woven a wonderful story of their love and how they bring things together once again. I particularly enjoyed the way each shows his/her love of the other in simple daily actions and thoughts. Other characters in the series periodically make their appearance—their adult son and daughter, grandchildren, their extended family and friends, but the story is truly about Titus and Rana and their love for each other and how they solve their problems. I love this series and look forward to the next installment. #5 in the Spellbound Falls series-Rana Oceanus wife has done something incredible by running away from her husband. When Rana purchases a house in Spellbound Falls rather than moving away from her family, it’s obvious to everyone around that she isn’t leaving Titus for good. She just wants long enough to experience life on her own because when you marry at the age of 15, life can get very predictable. Titus Oceanus, a very powerful god among men, doesn’t understand why the love of his life and wife for thousands of years left him, but he will do everything in his power to get her back. But between demons, a cult, the birth of a new god, and a little unexpected magic, Titus might just have too much to handle on his own.

It's a nice way to end the series. Now I'm looking forward to what she will be writing next!!!
