Bedding Lord Ned (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

Can I just say I love Sally MacKenzie? I read her Naked Nobility series and read this one next. Her books are just fun stories. They always make me laugh.Ned is a widower who is still grieving after 4 years who has decided that he needs to move on. Nell is a woman who has been pining away for Ned and has finally decided it is time to move on with her life. Add a matchmaking mother, a house party and a very mischievous cat and the book ends up pretty fun. Parts of it were entertaining and funny but other parts were riddled with cliche after cliche. The writing was smooth but flat. I didn't care for Ned and his repeated widower whine. His brother Jack seemed more interesting. I might read his story but I don't recommend this. It wasn't half bad but there are so many wonderful HR available and not enough time to read all my favourite authors. This one was reminiscent of the old Harlequin romances I read in the 70s.
