Autumn Storm (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

Autumn Storm by Lizzy Ford5 stars!Autumn is supposed to be a new student to the school, but with so many flash back memories of having been there before she knows that can't be correct. Her comfort level with her magic is much different than it was as Summer, so going into this book it is good to see that her inner strength IS much more than it was previously. Her slightly hardened, take no crap personality is different and refreshing. As she reconnects with the people she cared for before, it is good to see her subconscious is helping to her welcome them back into her life. As she moves through the story and continues to develop her magick even more I was glad to see her trust and embrace it more readily, her strength is still not fully tapped, so I think, watch out when she does! I was glad to see the pull between her and Decker was as strong as ever, even if neither of them understood it. It was good to see a more mature Beck, as he is starting to really understand in a much more mature way, the mistakes he had made in the past. His work to make better and stronger choices going forward, is going to make him the force for good and light that he needs to be. I am definitely going to dive into Winter Fire right away! I was inquisitive about the relationships between the characters in Dark Summer. They were so enthralling that I couldn't put the book down, the parsimony of realisim and fatasy kept me reiling for more. So it was conferred that I would continue with this series. Developing a favorable likeness for the characters it's a nice refreshment to be able to hear from each of their distinctive thoughts and points of views. Something I'm very fond of and glad the author does and continued in the series.
