Mind Café (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

Thought-provoking, made me tear up several times -- though that may've just been my state of mind at the time, I had a really sad song stuck in my head -- but it ended far too abruptly and left a lot of things unresolved. I suppose maybe the point was to leave the reader thinking even after finishing the book, but it would've left me feeling cheated if I'd been there long enough to become really attached to it. Probably the best a person could do with less than 5'000 words, and it was a fun read. I am spell bound! This is so far the best short novel I've ever read. The story gripped me from the beginning and I couldn't stop till it ended. VERY well written and so disturbing and thought provoking. The book gripped me emotionally. I totally connected to the character and the range of emotions that poured out from me to her totally surprised me! I really commend the author for writing such an amazing story. I look fwd to more!

Interesting concept for the story line. I'm just wishing it was a bit longer.
