To Win His Wayward Wife (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

I'm so sorry for those who like this but I'm going to say my peace.I'm torn between love and hatred. Here's why:I like Madison because she participates in helping the poor and by poor it is teaching those "illiterate bastards" (from her own words) I hate Madison because of all the obvious reason why she took the risk of giving everything to that asshole Robbie. I like her because she gave Ben a chance, I hate her because she's afraid of telling the truth to Ben and thus hurt him in the most hurtful way. I like Ben because he never stop loving Madison, I hate him because he gave up with her that easily when he knows how an ASS Robbie is. I mean come on, if the love of your life is in the hands of a fucker atleast fight for her! He comes back straight to England.I hate the plot. There's too many on goings. Maybe because I want honesty. I want honest characters and I find fault in every one of them.I fvvvcking hate Robbie! Well, I think that's what antagonist do. To hate them! He deflowered Madison and fvvck her until she bear a child and leaves her just to marry another. WHAT AN ASS! Lastly, it's not balance.. There's too much drama but very short ending. Like, the past of Madison, I felt hurt because of what happened to her. I want to hug her but at the same time punch her. I want to comfort Ben. Oh ben :( ATLEAST GAVE JUSTICE! In the end I want Ben's story, like how he cope up with Madison's past. IT IS NOT THAT SIMPLE TO SAY THAT "I'M NO LONGER A V AND I CARRIED HIS CHILD BUT MISCARRIED AND WENT TO ENGLAND" AND EXPECT ACCEPTANCE IN A SNAP!!! Give the man TIME to process things. To think things through. The ending was not too much of a thrill because it is obvious that it was written "just-to-finish" the story. (-_-) This has been my absolute favorite of Rose Gordon's regencies! So, I know the hero was supposed to be a surprise, but I ended up reading these out of order so I had a basic idea of who Madison ended up with and how their story went. But I love how Gordon reveals the groom in chapter two. I think I might've even squealed.Madison has definitely been through a lot, so it was wonderful seeing her with someone who loved her SO much (even if he had a tough time expressing it!). Like I said, I read these out of order so I hadn't much idea of what she suffered in the states, so seeing her step out of her fragility to develop such strength was great. And the hero. I know you're supposed to hate him in the other books, but I loved him even before this one. I'm so glad he had the chance to redeem himself. I knew they was a heart buried inside of him. I think what touched me the most is how he saw her in the states YEARS before and fell in love. And he never stopped loving her. So precious.Definitely my favorite, but you've got to read all of Rose Gordon's. Again, I loved getting to see the other sisters and their husbands as well as the other Banks family members. They're such a fun, dynamic group and while each story can easily stand alone, they're so much better with the rich cast of Gordon characters!

What do You think about To Win His Wayward Wife (2011)?

Meh. I think this had potential, but I found the character's behavior inconsistent and confusing.
