The Wounds In The Walls (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

This compact, chilling, and wonderful ghost story focuses on a paranormal investigator named Michael Clarke who's trying his best to free the energy of a ghost from an old house in Missouri. A psychic has given him a clue that leads him to odd job man, Pete Eason. Pete doesn't know it yet, but he has a strong connection to the ghost and the haunted house. Strange things begin to happen almost as soon as the two men enter the old house. Michael sees the ghost. Pete doesn't. Pete sees horrible gashes in the walls. Michael doesn't. The more Michael questions Pete, the more Pete wants out of that house and away from Michael. Even the ghost wants Pete gone. Michael forces Pete to touch the ghost and then all hell breaks loose.Cullinan just pulls you in from nearly the first word. In a short span of pages, you want to know the ghost's story and the more you learn, the more terrifying the reality becomes. Haunting was the least of horrible thing these two men and a ghost discover. They discover long-ago hidden truths and a deep love that has lasted through generations.Highly recommended! This story was quite impressive and not at all what I expected when reading it. I thought it was a story of horror rather that a shocking love story of the paranormal nature mixed with love, incest and tragedies that will have you shocked. I've been holding on to this one for awhile now and I'm supernova'd that I finally chose to read it. Worth taking the time to read. Be warned though some material can be sensitive to some readers.
