The Time Quake (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. The theory of time travel is expanded upon by the theory of dark energy vs. gravity and explains why Kate has been "blurring." The concept of time quakes - a phenomenon which mixes up people from all generations of time in one destructive cloud- is interesting. An alternate reality of what New York and London would have been like had the Americans not won the Revolutionary War is also explored. The first two in the series were good, and for the most part, this one was, too. The whole series has a good vibe, the plot is sound, and the characters are good enough, but, unfortunately, it ends either anticlimactically or just plain annoyingly. It makes the whole story look like a waste of time when Buckley-Archer could have ended it nicely, somehow. This whole book just seems to be getting darker, more confusing, and chaotic as it goes along, and that isn't very fun to read if there's too much of it.I've read it twice, because it's the last part of a good series, but I wish the ending was better.
