What do You think about The Secret Of The Caves (1929)?
The Secret of the caves was overall a good book. I thought the plot was weird because they are assigned to find this missing college professor. After that it was fast paced. They find a clue that leads them to a bunch of caves that is supposedly haunted.The hardy boys and their friends realize it is just a fake hermit who imposes himself as someone far older than he is. Eventually they find out he is part of this gang who is shipping in stolen goods into the cave. They round up the gang and find the missing professer. Although the book was fast paced I thought the ending was too abrupt and little explanation of solving the mystery. I would recommend this book who likes action and mystery.

An enjoyable book for young boys - most modern readers will find some of the dialogue a bit corny.Some interesting features: a memorable character (Commander Wilson the hermit), an interesting locale (the Palais Paris restaurant, and the caves at Rockaway).The Cadwill Quill character could have been quite cool, but the book barely used him.Main drawback of the book - the resolution takes place in about 4.5 pages, including wrapping up all the various loose ends. I'd like to read the original, longer version, as this version is the shorter, revised one, and perhaps that's the main reason it seems chopped off at the end.Worth a buck at a yard sale if you've know a younger boy who might want to read this.

The setting is mainly at the Cobblewave Coves in Rockaway.Entry 3-When Morgan Todd goes on the case. It leads the to Rockaway and the Palias Paris. They uncover the plot of a anti-American country infilrating the U.S> from the inside using a submarine.
