The Mortal Instruments Gift Set (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
when I first started this series I simply read it out of boredom, and because I had to read something for homework. What I never thought was how amazing of a journey this was going to be. Now a couple months after finishing the series each time I look at anyone of the books or hear any reference made to these books I feel an indescribable happiness inside of me, it's like a pang of different emotions, I feel the loss of characters that have died, the love for the couples I ship, and all my emotions are tied up with the giddy joyous feeling. I don't think I'll ever fall in love with another book/ series the way I have with this one. So Thank you Cassandra Clare. I gave this books 4 stars simply because I have decided to score books in the means of the amusement received while reading them and not cold-minded examination of it's value. I think I might have scored the books from two to three stars if I chose the latter as my technique. However I really got into the books while reading (you know, the not talking, not going out and reading mode) so it deserved a good score.
