The Gazelle Who Caught A Lion (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

I really liked this book, and not just because Angel the gazelle and Clark the lion are great together. The fact that the series is now taking off to jump into the second generation and we get to see all the kids from the first books as adults and find out about their mates has something to do with it. But, above all, there are new revelations about the paranormal world, whole new species appear and the villains are more evil than ever. What more could I ask for?Angel may be a gazelle shifter, and is supposedly a prey animal, but he certainly doesn't display many of those characteristics in human form. He is courageous, stands by his friends, and only has one (perceived) weakness - his love for his adopted brother, Clark. He is very hesitant about telling Clark the truth, even though he now understands that the feeling of safety and belonging he's had around the lion shifter since they were kids and adopted into the same family, weren't brotherly love at all. Or rather, those feelings were just the precursor to the fact that they are mates, and the only way they could understand them when they were younger. Clark may be a powerful lion shifter, but he has a definite weakness for Angel. As soon as he understands that they are mates, and that there is no point in denying it, he changes into the most protective lover ever. Because they know each other so well, Clark and Angel's bond is extremely strong from the very beginning. They need it, too, because the enemies that threaten them are stronger than ever before. This volume is a great 'first step' into the 'next generation' of this shifter, or rather, this paranormal, community. Taking the previous books as basis, these next few are moving into the future and wo knows what will happen next. I can't wait! If you like paranormals, if unusual pairings and the conflicts resulting from that are your thing, and if you're looking for some very hot and loving gazelle-on-lion action between the sheets, you will probably like this book.

>> a mild spoiler>>>WOW, what a turn of events, now the second generation is going to have their story, these guys are more exiting to read about, than their parents! I just love this series, I'm looking forward to read about all the children, I'm so glad the author already mentioned that it is going to be a long series, because I'm sure I want to read about every one of these guys.I didn't mind the Cliffhanger finale, as this author has proven that she writes fast, and she won't keep us in suspense for too long.Fantastic!!!

What do You think about The Gazelle Who Caught A Lion (2012)?

typical Scarlet Hyacinth serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical Scarlet Hyacinth? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.). out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all serials by UNLESS motivated otherwise by markedly good/bad writing:Scarlet Hyacinthjoyee flynnsunny daylynn hagenstormy glenncarol lynnegabrielle evansi'd apologize, but i'm not sorry.
