Wow! What can I say apart from that?! The plot is a fast paced police drama and I found it impossible to stop reading due to the constant wonder of what is going to happen next. There are parts of the book which are creepy and keeps the reader on their toes, whether it being the Gallagher-Hagerman relationship, the killers motives or the twists and turns which lead Gallagher and her team to the epic finale. A must read for any crime-thriller fanatic! This is one of the most disturbing books we have read. As parents, the idea of someone kidnapping and hurting our kids is excruciating. This story is based on detective Dittrich's own investigations, and this killer is based on a real individual. There are monsters out there, and they look just like everyone else. We kept our kids close after reading this book... (Much to their frustration.)We grew to love CeeCee and the other complicated characters. Luckily there are several more books in the series!
This was a ok read. It was more a romance novel with a hint of mystery.. so not my type of read..
