Tales From The Crypt #8: Diary Of A Stinky Dead Kid (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Weird and full of zombies, The Diary of a Stinky Dead Kid by Stefan Petrucha and Rick Parker is a graphic novel for younger people who like scarier books. This book is a short and easy read, with little words and mainly pictures. As you look through the private Diary of Glugg, you will find that the world he lives in is very different to the one you and I live in. With evil devils and zombies coming alive, this book is full of terrifying suprises that will haunt you during the night! When Glugg’s brother becomes desperate to get a new set of drums, he is offered by an evil demon any of his wishes in exchange for a soul. Hearing this, Glugg’s brother murders Glugg to get his soul, but Glugg comes back as a zombie to payback his murderous brother! I'm not going to go into too much detail here, but I think this book would have been much better if there would have been more about what was actually listed as the title of the book. I was really looking forward to reading about the stinky dead kid, but there wasn't much to read about this whole thing. There were two other color comics included in the book which equaled or surpassed the amount of stinky dead kid material, so I was a bit miffed that I purchased the book. The Dielite comic was humorous, but the second comic was pretty lame. I just wish I would not have spent the money on this book. This was a Halloween purchase - I love this time of year, I always try to get some new Halloween material every year...but I will think twice before buying any other Tales from the Crypt books. :(
