É impossível não gostar de um livro desta autora e há muito tempo que deixei de ser capaz de dar uma opinião minimamente objetiva eheh É mais um livro excelente, com uma história que nos prende até à última pagina e que, neste caso, continua no 2º livro. Não tem muitas mortes, o que é estranho tendo em conta que estamos a falar de Lesley Pearse. No entanto, penso que o número de mortes é reduzido devido ao tema do livro e à violência de algumas cenas. Alguns dos momentos descritos são absolutamente arrepiantes! My score: 6/10. This was quite gripping – I had to keep reading on. The story is bleak and brutal and very graphic at times (made me wince). A good yarn, but the characters are secondary. However, I'd warmed to most of them by the end of the book – especially Etienne!!Not sure if I'd read the sequel – I'm expecting death and doom! Belle seemed to have SO many misadventures – often out of the frying pan and into the fire. Why did she leave the Ram Inn on receipt of her “mother's” letter without telling anyone where she was going? I wanted to shake her at that point.I can quite visualise this as a film. A real bodice ripper!!Average score: 6/10
