I have to admit that through the first few chapters I was losing my interest. But then things began to progress. I will completed the remainder of this series in the next day or two. The threesome romance is something that will unfold over the course of all the books with a more focus on each in a separate book.I loved it for the funny, adventure, intrigue, mystery, history, and richness that it brings to the table. Roberts did a good job of activating my mind and intertwining myth and history of the new world witch hunts It was the first Nora Roberts Trilogy I read and I loved it... Absolutely loved it. However it is a cookie cutter character and plot of her other similar supernatural trilogies, which makes it predictable to the extreme. I don't mind a predictable romance novel but when its the same characters with different names hooking up with the same characters with different names fighting a supernatural villain... come on. No wonder she's so prolific she keeps churning out the same story but changes the names and the setting a bit. Good for a beach read and I did buy three NR Supernatural trilogies and read them all so it couldn't have been that bad. - Key, circle, & Seven all too similar not to be cookie cutter.
