Prying Eyes - Plot & Excerpts

Amelia told Michael as he posed beside a silver palm tree. The sun was just beginning to set and its rays made a beautiful backdrop, adding highlights to Michael’s blond hair and making those baby blue eyes twinkle.
“Isn’t it odd for a model to practice photography as a hobby?”
Amelia took a few more pictures of him with her expensive digital camera. “No, I don’t think so.” She chuckled. “Maybe.” She’d been into photography since childhood when she had got her first camera for Christmas. “Maybe that’s the reason I became a model.” Michael had such good cheekbones and he was really very photogenic. “What about you? Why did you become a model?”
“Because I’m lousy at basketball.”
“Huh?” she asked, lowering the camera.
“I’m over six feet tall, thin and wiry. What other job could be more fitting? And the pay is good.”
So true, she thought. But there wasn’t anything thin or wiry about his body. Michael put a sandaled foot against the palm.
Amelia raised the camera, capturing his handsome face, his muscular physique and well-muscled legs that showed beneath the unbuttoned cotton shirt and white shorts.
