Project Persefone. Het Experiment (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

This story, Don't Turn Around, is about an orphan girl named Noa Torson who is a member of an organization called /ALLIANCE/ which is a group of people who are computer hackers. Noa is one of the best and most known for her hacking skills. The leader and founder of /ALLIANCE/, Peter Gregory, contacts Noa and asks for her help for revealing a corporation called AMRF who threatens Peter and his family. But what Noa and Peter don't realize is that Noa holds the key to a terrible secret which members of AMRF would stop at nothing to silence them both. The main characters in this story are Peter Gregory and Noa Torson. What these main characters do is they work together to uncover what really is behind the corporation AMRF. My favorite character is Noa because she is smart, sly, and can hack into a computer data base and bypass their security with ease. The character that I can relate to is Noa. She inspires me because what she does, computer hacking and all, is related to what my career choice is, which is going into the cyber security business. I really liked this book because it has action and mystery to it, with a bit of thriller. My favorite part of the book is at the very beginning when Noa wakes up in a warehouse and she doesn't know how she got there. So she has to fight, run, and kill her way out there in order to escape. I like this part because it starts immediately with action and I like it when there is action at the beginning. The author did a really good job of combining action and mystery in this book. What she could have done differently is giving a little more background information on the characters. I would definitely recommend this book to others because it is an awesome book. The people who might like this book are those who like series and like to connect with characters. Also those who like action, mystery, and like to be sitting on the edge of their seat. "Don't Turn Around" is great. It's the right amount of suspense and believability that it gets you hooked. It's about two kids, Noa, a girl in the system with no one but herself, and Peter, a very privileged boy with the best of everything. I like that while the characters do develop feelings for each other, they only hold hands. It's about the plot, not the romance. Not to mention the all-powerful bad guys and how things are bigger than they thought. I can't wait to read the second one.
