But now, 5 years later, she has returned to Jasper Bay but in no way is she returning to the Nordic Lords or Daemon.But Daemon wants Olivia back. He is furious that she came back to Jasper Bay, but instead of going to him, she went to another man. Daemon has worked hard in the club and has buried himself in work, alcohol & club whores in the 5 years that she has been gone. But he can’t forget her and the one night they shared was better and so much more than any sexual encounter he has had since then. He wants Olivia to forgive him for going against their teenage plans to get away; he wants her in his life and in his bed.Olivia has no plans of going back to the Nordic Lords and into their fold. She never wants to see her dad ever again and even though she hasn’t been able to get over her first love of Daemon, she doesn’t want to see him either. She has tried to move on and is still working towards that goal by remaining apart from the club, all people associated with the club and all club dealings.When life takes a turn, the Nordic Lords are quick to sweep Olivia up and pull her back into the fold. But just as Olivia starts to accept the club in her life again, history starts to repeat itself. She is forced to wonder if things have ever changed or will ever change and if her life will be in danger because of the club life.The club has some crazy dealings with another MC and other players on the scene, as will any outlaw 1% club. Then ending also gives some insight into the next book, Point of Redemption, which is Ryker and Faith’s story. We meet Olivia while she's having a really crap day. Really, a lot of this story is about Olivia having difficult days. Her dad's the Prez of an MC. Her first love took over the VP spot after his father was killed. She left them both after a traumatic experience caused by the club, but ended up coming back to town - excuses, but really she couldn't stay away from her home. Not the town, not her dad, not even really the club. Daemon was her home, even though she didn't really expect to see him again.We meet Daemon as he's sent to help Liv with her crap day. We learn that she's never been out of his heart, and we get to know the things that have been tearing him up inside.We meet the other members of the MC, and surrounding ppl w/in the community. There's some action, there're some twists, and there is the love story between Olivia & Daemon that is not really conventional even as it is. They've loved each other forever, but the things that've kept them apart are hard roads to travel. They do, tho, and the reward is worth it! : ) I was quite impressed with this story, and the way the characters are written, I'm looking forward to reading the next stories in this series, even tho they're set up to be super emotional reads. : )
