Nova & Quinton. No Regrets (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

Book Review-Nova and Quinton: No Regrets by Jessica SorensenIt has been two months and Quinton is ready to leave rehab. Well his doctors think he is. He isn’t quite sure. He is afraid to enter the outside world and live with his dad when he has been in this safe place protected from the outside influences. His not sure he can handle it. Things are changing fast, living with his dad, seeing a new therapist and having to deal with his pain sober. He feels like he could shatter at any moment.Nova knows Quinton needs time to work on himself and getting better, she tries not to feel hurt when he doesn’t write back or call. She misses him and worries about him. She desperately wants to see him but she doesn’t want to pressure him knowing how fragile he is right now. She is also worrying about Tristen and trying to keep him out of trouble. He is also in a fragile state and afraid he will relapse. She doesn’t want to upset either of them right now. She is trying to be patient and understanding for both of them. They have all been through so much.Quinton has to find his way through his guilt and hopefully back to her. Tristen has to find interest in a sober life. Nova has to realize she can’t save everyone when she loses another person. Life goes on and they have to let go of the guilt in order to live life with no regrets. This is the third book in the Nova and Quinton series. I have read all three and loved them all. I love the characters. The tortured souls that existed in this series could easily have been anyone. Living with tragic loss and guilt could break even the strongest person especially those so young. The story is realistically written and shows how someone fights to get back from drug addiction and loss. I liked how the author showed how Nova also needed to heal and go after her dream. Quinton would come back to her when he was ready. I loved the series and this book was the perfect ending. I give it a 5 out of 5. Have to say that this third book to Quinton and Nova's story was much better than the first two. This infused a lighter mood and emotions making it more bearable to read. Though there still some weaken and struggling moments for Quinton and Nova, they've proven how much stronger they became, finally defeating their inner demons and have their clean slate. I like how the friendship and romance slowly build for the two characters. No urgency to be together until they fully healed and very much capable to be with one another. It's nice how their love story started from their chaotic past that finally lead them to their healing and redemption. Such a challenging and emotionally draining read.
