Lune Rouge (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

I read this book in one sitting, the whole story seemed rushed. I felt as though there was nothing to grab and pull me in, it was just words on a page. I didn't enjoy the characters, there wasn't enough info on them to really get to know them. The love story was ridiculous and rushed. I felt like I was in an unrealistic Disney movie where the two main characters fall in love instantly. I like the cover of this book and having bought it years ago I have a hard cover copy. The pages have red trees on them which I also like. I also enjoyed the writing style. I probably would not read this book if I had to choose again. The book was good. I liked the plot but, it was let's say... sappy. I get the two are in love and the author wrote it plain and simple. But to me, it wasn't detailed enough. Some of the stuff was vague. And the forest-thing, it didn't fit with the rest of the story. First there was the werewolf and then a talking forest (in a matter of speaking). You could mix it in and make it good. But Miss Ivy, to me, didn't mix it well enough and it appeared as if there was more forest with little-to-no taste and less werewolf with a tiny punch. This is how I felt about the book. But despite its crappy feel, detailing, and stuff, I kept reading it and I liked it. I might consider the next one. It's a might. Plus, I'm curious if this was aimed at a certain age group because if it was, then it all makes sense. If it isn't, then good luck and enjoy to all those who are going to read 'Low Red Moon'. P.S. I liked how the author wrote the word 'moon" in red instead of regular black.
