Kaleb (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

This wasn't a bad book by any means. It was entertaining, the characters likable and the sex scenes good. I just didn't connect enough to the relationship between Kaleb and Zoey. I think part of the problem was that I didn't identify enough with Kaleb and Zoey as a couple before another character joined their sexual escapades. I wish more focus was placed on the growth of their relationship and not the sex. I will continue with series and also go back to the previous series written by the author as they seem slightly entangled. I enjoyed reading this story line because it wasn't about perfection. It was about individuals that have lived a little of their life and have experience. Not a 20 year old that is learning but older and wiser adult that knows what they want after years of desiring it. Kaleb sets the stage to a series that will leave no doubt to how strong a family bond the brothers have while allowing each to have their own individuality. While this book was based primarily about Kaleb, we still get into the characteristics of his brothers. If you have never read one of Nicole Edwards books then you need to be prepared that her books/series involve sex within the story. It is more than just about the sex but the daily lives of a family and we all know that sex is part of life. Nicole just happens to be detailed in that area of the book just as she is in the rest of the story. Can't wait to read the next book.....Zane

What do You think about Kaleb (2013)?

This was pretty okay. I didn't hate it but it didn't rock my world either. Some of the ménage scenes were pretty hot - man do I love a good ménage. Zoey only managed to annoy me 40% of the time which, for the new batch of TSTL heroines and wet mop doormats that seem to be the trend, is a win in my book. She had her immature moments that made me want to slap her. And I rolled my eyes at her repeatedly but not as much as I usually do for heroines. Them crazy bitches drive me nuts.
