More like a 2 1/2 star. I didn't love this. It was pretty boring and contrived. I didn't enjoy Heather nearly as much in this book as I did in her own book. She seemed like a completely different person. Same with Alison. I liked her way better in Heather's book. She was extremely and unattractively desperate in this book. She was really, really desperate and it just put me off.Let's talk about the dates. They were ridiculously horrible. The first mistake really was on Brandon. But the last two bad dates were beyond his control. This book was a chore to get through. I only finished it because I'd read and loved the other books in the series. Jane Graves is a new author to me, recommended to me by my book ladies. I am so thankful to have stumbled upon her books. This is the 3rd on I've read and they're fantastic.Nothing overly dramatic or unbelievable. Long and thorough.Great character development.I always just a book on the 'crack factor'...that one point in the book where your heart literally cracks and tears form because of something that's happened. She hasn't let me down yet in this area. Brandon and Alison, two people you wouldn't initially pair together develop a business relationship that blossoms into a fabulous friendship and then suddenly it dawns on them that it's so much more than that but with the lies that have piled up and the secrets hidden, how do fix it all without breaking your girls heart.....
Not nearly as good as her previous books, which I own most of. I will not be buying this one.
