Hammer It Home (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by KittyKelly5 out of 5 LicksFirst things first-read the other books in the series before you read this one! If you read this book without reading the first ones in the series you may thing it's all about the sex, but it's really all about the love between the crew. Nailed To The Wall carried a bit of a sad note at the end, but everything works out for Joe and Morgan in this one. Jayne loves to make us cry though so you likely won't get through this story without some tears, but they are well worth it. Things get rough for the crew about midway through but don't worry. Jayne wouldn't dare leave us without things being ok in the end. She also gives a great intro to the Hot Rods crew. I'm looking forward to checking out the Hot Rod books next. As always Gregory does a great job with the narration. I'm sure it was crazy hard to do over 9 different voices, but he managed to do it. And shout out to that sexy cover!! Yummy!! First of all, let me just say that the author is mean, and here is what I mean by that: I’m a big sap, so I spent a LARGE portion of this book in tears!! I love, love, love this series and all its characters, so to see Morgan and Joe in such emotional turmoil tore me up. Then later to see the victim of the accident and everybody around him so distraught tore me up again. Seriously, have tissues handy. That being said, there’s also some very sensual scenes as well, naturally. The night Morgan gets pregnant is a little awkward, but mostly hot, fun, and tender. Everybody coping with the accident and its repercussions was sweet and hot as well. Perhaps one of my favorite parts though, is the introduction to two NEW characters that will lead us into the author’s new spin off series, the Hot Rods. That scene where they get to learn about the crew and their arrangement is both funny and sizzling.Ultimately, it’s a great finale to the series, and a fantastic lead in to the spin off. As with any ending, it’s bittersweet, but oh so satisfying and I couldn’t get enough! Hammer It Home just goes to show how close all the characters really are and how tightly knit they are as a unit. I’m sad to see the crew go, but maybe they’ll have the occasional cameo in the Hot Rods series. Bring it on!
