Fallen Crest Public (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

Almost 5 days later and still nursing a book hangover. Excellent read with different plot twists and characters who set you on fire in two different ways. Oh the mean girls and loyal loving men this book has those in abudance. Sam is still with Mason and dodging all kinds of trouble and feelings while he is away from Fallen Crest and in his first year of college. The mean girls are still around and trying to cause trouble and Sam continues to try to field it on her own attempting to reduce her dependency on Mason and Logan as her problem solvers. But when your keeping a secret, in the end it will hurt you and those you love. From the Author: My mother tried to destroy me. She doesn’t exist to me anymore and my father, the one who raised me and the biological one, are both works in progress. The only two people that I can trust are Mason and Logan, and they’re the two people who I could lose. It won’t happen. I won’t let it. No matter the truth, no matter who loves me, I won’t let anything or anyone come between us. They’re my world. They’re my life. They’re my family. What is it about these books that makes me love them so much? There are many things that happen in this book. Most of them are on the side of illegal, and as I was sitting there reading this book all I could think was; "Is this what large schools are like?"I went to a very small school, it had maybe 500 kids from 3 different towns. The smart kids were the jocks, and the band kinds. The band, choir, and jocks were all friends. Sure there were a couple of assholes but for the most part either people knew you or you were invisible. Sam in this book, in some ways has become kind of a weak person. She depends on Mason too much and when she tries to handle things herself they always blow up in her face. I still like her, and in some ways I get why she became a dependent person. Her mother's actions in the previous book brought up forgotten memories and her dad (the one that raised her) and biological father have both stopped talking to her, and the only constants in her life are Mason and Logan. We got a treat with this book that half was written from Masons POV. I liked getting back into his head, I would like to have read the first book from his POV as well, and I really want to read this story from Logan's POV (I think he's my favorite character). This was a pretty solid book, even though as far as I know things like this don't happen in real life, at least not where I'm from. There was a small cliffhanger at the end of this book, and I am excited and a little nervous as to how it will play out in the next book (that I've already started reading)
