El Baile Del Multmillonario (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

I've re-read and amended my rating:If you're looking for complex plot and a challenging read, this is not for you. It's tricky to review a book like this as it's a simple feel good love story. I can't compare it to other books I read where there's detailed plot and character development as I read those books expecting different things. When I started reading this book, and others by this author, I was expecting a bit of heartache, characters refusing to admit they're in love, other people causing problems and misunderstandings, and eventually, a happy ending. All these elements are in this book and provided a pleasant few hours reading leaving me smiling at the end. This basic formula means that the structure is widely the same in the whole series but as I was expecting this and wanting a light read, I didn't mind. Perfect for the mood I was in when reading.Original review:Book 1 and 2, have very similar plots which is a bit annoying; you'd think one brother would learn from the other brother's mistakes but no...... Someone needs to teach the Anderson men about contraception! It's a fun idea where the father is desperate to have a big happy family and to see his sons settle down so he goes about matchmaking behind his sons' backs. He brings women he choses into situations where his sons will meet them. The plot is playboy son, innocent virginal girl, passionate sex, girl falls in love and feels hurt, man refuses to admit he no longer wants the bachelor lifestyle but then some crisis happens pushing them together. Simple plot, characters not exactly deep and not much development but it's ok.I find the writing a bit corny at times and found myself cringing, and use of words such as womanhood and heat had me groaning but not for desired reasons. Really? womanhood? What do You think about El Baile Del Multmillonario (2013)?

This is a good beachy read. Alex aka alpha egotistical male never thinks he is going to get married or fall in love. Then one night trapped on an elevator he has unbelievable sex with Jessica. He finds out a year later he is papa. Being alpha and from a respectable family the only thing to do is to get married. Alex learns to respect his wife and the sex is brilliant but he is afraid to let his heart go. Jessica has been a goner and love with Alex forever - ever since their first kiss as a teenager. But will she able to tame the man who was supposed to be a bachelor forever. You will have to read the book to find out.The book is light. It bring together families and shows the love between man and wife but also brothers and father and son. It is truly a heart felt book. Not too serious and not at all dark but one that could rival a disney movie.I read this book on my ereader. It was purchased on Amazon.ca.

Ok after reading the first book I had to read more about the Andersons. I love the father Joseph wanting his 3 sons happily married and grandchildren. His meddling is pretty amusing.Alex is the second son, busy traveling for the Anderson business and has no plans to settle down. He attends a charity event to represent the Andersons and sees an old friend, Jessica who has grown up quite well. Jessica is from a wealthy family and travels the world also. A bit of time in a stuck elevator for Alex and Jessica big things happen. This book has a lot of chemistry and a great romance. The only thing I didn't like was the fact she too was a virgin like book 1, it seems kind of tired idea.
