Dom Wars: Round 1 & 2 (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

I read "Dom Wars 1 & 2" at the recommendation of a friend, and I enjoyed them more than I expected. I've heard the series compared to "The Hunger Games," and, in a way, I can see that. They're fluid stories, moving from one action-packed moment to the next in a whirlwind. There's nothing dull or slow here. The relationship between Lucian and Tara is just beginning, but they make a great team, and I've decided to continue with the series just to see how they'll handle the next challenge. The premise is that one contestant of the group will be judged the truest Dom, and this will be "proven" through a myriad of reality-TV-show-like challenges. The only catch is that these can't be shown on network TV, so they're marketed more privately (with some challenges being XXX). I've never read anything like these before, I'm rooting for the main couple (Lucien is a doll, staying in it only for Tara), and this is great escapism. No terribly traumatic triggers that I can recall. Proof reading was excellent. The characters are amazing. Lucian knows there is something missing in him but can't figure out what and Tara believes she has solved all the issues from her past but hasn't and it isn't until they meet each other that both realize what they were both missing. And the trust they are learning to build in each other and the ways they are going about doing it so well put together and hot -- that it makes you want to find that in your own soulmate! And the tearing down of walls for each of them - it is an on going process but one that once they realize it's easier together it is well worth the trip.....just an awesome read!!
