As soon as I slid into Robert’s getaway car, he put a black bag over my head. “A precaution.” he said. It seemed more like a kidnapping to me. But I kept my mouth shut. Oh, I wanted to chew Robert out, like I had done at the gala, but it was not the time to anger the man who was in control of my life. I didn’t know how long we rode for, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour.... My concept of time was out the window as I panicked internally. Had Luca survived the shootout? Was he coming to save me?
