Companion Wanted (Loveswept) (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

I honestly loved reading this book, took me into another world, it had been a while, since something like that had happened. The thing that makes this book stand out above some other books is the story, it's quite unusual for very romantic and sexual books to have a story like this, which was refreshing and very enjoyable. I don't want to put any spoilers here, but I am going to say that I wasn't really satisfied by the ending, I thought that after all they had gotten through there had to be something more to celebrate the victory with. But that's about it for any complaints, otherwise it kept the interest very well and it's wasn't that predictable.Thumbs up! :D I loved it!!! It's 3.5 stars for me!!:)Especially the second half!!!The heroin in the story is Lexie, she's a school teacher who has always dreamed of joining the Trans America Trail but because she's a woman, it's a little unsafe for her to travel alone. That's where Tom comes in. Due to bad history in his past, he has become a recluse and antisocial. And he's joining the TransAm too, but his sister wants him not to travel alone, so she answers an ad that Lexi wrote looking for a partner. I know the story was meant to be fast because they are on a trail and thats where they fall in love after all, but i still found it impulsive, fast and rather unrealistic and still.. FAST. On the other hand, it was sweet and cute. My favorite parts are their banter. It was fun and witty. And you could sense that they balance out each other. I felt like the book was cut into half, the first part being the flirting and fun stage. And the second half that just completes the book!! I can't describe it other than I loved the second half. It was full of heart and was kinda philosophical, which makes you think and understand the character. Overall, I enjoyed this book.:)Thanks for the recommendation Dina!! :D
