I wasn't sure I would like this book because I wasn't a fan of the hero at first, Jack is rude, crude bounty-hunter but he was perfectly suited to a totally non-traditional MJ.MJ has grown up in bars since her family runs one, and she too owns one and tends bar there, she is modern and tough as nails so when Jack comes to pick her up on some bounty claims she fights back and then both of them run into someone trying to kill her.Jack doesn't know what went wrong but he was given false information and he intends to find out the truth from MJ even if that means hand-cuffing her and trying to intimidate her, at this point I didn't like him, he made a money deal with her after he sees the diamond she has on her.He also doesn't allow her to tell him what to do, both of them are used to following their own way and Jack is a loner and always has been, so it's weird that chemistry these two share and how they end up forming a deep attachment to each other.Some scenes were really funny like Jack freaking out when MJ cries, his rough words weren't meant to be rough but show love and even when he tries to give her the slip, they are kind of fighting because they love each other and want to protect the other.So, despite being different I liked it, now I am going to read Grace's book and finally try and find out who is after them.
Eis a continuação da trilogia “As Estrelas de Mithra”. Neste 2º volume conhecemos M. J. O’Leary, uma das melhores amigas de Bailey James (que conhecemos no 1º volume), uma mulher destemida, batalhadora e que não tem medo de dizer e fazer o que pensa.Quando vê a sua casa invadida por um desconhecido que tenta à força algemá-la, fica completamente fora de si e não se rende facilmente. Apesar de perceber que aquela mulher é um osso duro de roer, Jack Dakota não desiste, pois trata-se de um caçador de recompensas e não quer abdicar do seu prémio.Mas as coisas não se adivinham tão simples como parecem inicialmente e ambos apercebem-se de que estão metidos numa grande confusão. Juntos vão tentar descobrir quem lhes armou a cilada e tentar destrinçar o novelo de lã em que estão enredados.Este 2º volume agradou-me mais que o 1º, embora não morra de amores pela trilogia. Mas posso afirmar que as personagens são mais consistentes e que a história é irrequieta, pois os protagonistas não param um minuto sossegados.Em breve lerei o 3º volume para saber como termina a trilogia.

This was a great read. Continuing after the Hidden star, you really wanted to know what was next.Jack Dakota was to pick up a pretty bail jumper, who was'nt even bothering to hidebut MJ did not even know she was trying to be found. She knew something was going on, when her friend Bailey James sent her a blue diamond, and told her to keep it safe.MJ friends Bailey and Grace were out of contact and she had no clue what was going on.Someone had set Dakota and MJ up. they were handcuffed together and on the run from a pair of killers. MJ did not tell Dakota about the diamond in her purse.Everything told Jack that she could not be trusted except his heart.

Estrelas de Mithra 2/3Estrela CativaNora RobertsHarlequin 2013Foi muito complicado. Não consegui deixar de lado o fato que a mocinha era uma ruiva grandalhona, que bate em muitos homens. Quando li estas características, só consegui pensar nela como uma viking.Sério!!!É obvio que depois desta imagem enraizada na minha mente, foi difícil levar a sério qualquer estória.Agora se você conseguir deixar de lado a imagem da ruiva selvagem. É obvio que o livro é ótimo. Até me a risco a dizer que é melhor que o primeiro volume. Pensando apenas no mocinho, Jackson é o cara. Másculo, inteligente, destemido e selvagem. Tudo que uma mulher com um pouco de imaginação adoraria ter.Por fim, o par perfeito para MJ, a ruiva louca. Kkk...Recomendo!!!
