Arisa, Vol. 01 (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

This is an extremely interesting manga series, and I'm still a noob at the whole manga reading life style, which proves that this is a book that should be looked at! It breaks the norm by putting the climax within the first few chapters! As soon as I opened the book I kept asking, who is this king? Why did aria try to kill herself? What's wrong with class 2-b. I could hardly put it down and am proud to say i read it in one siting Strong debutI thought I had left manga behind with my childhood and my years in middle school. Nope, it was not just a phase. I still enjoy manga (I'm just pickier about it) and I prefer novels. Arisa was great! It kept me on the edge of my seat and I'm prepared for (hopefully) more volumes to come. I have the next 3 in the series and I've heard that there are many more to come after that! Arisa is a series about twins Tsubasa and Arisa. The twins were seperated at age 11 by a divorce and they're excited to reunite at the age of 14. When they finally meet again it's almost like they were never apart from each other. Before long Tsubasa learns that something is terribly wrong with Arisa. By the time she realizes this it's to late and Arisa has fallen backwards dramatically out of a window (more artistically dramatic than jumping I suppose? Or maybe the author eeded Arisa to remain alive ish. Well it's not very useful because...) and Arisa is then in a coma. Tsubasa senses that it had something to do with Arisa's super weird stepford classmates and she returns to Arisa's school, one week later but she is pretending to be Arisa and nobody knows the difference. Will Tsubasa solve the mystery? What is amiss in Arisa's school and her class? What is King time? Who is hiding something and keeping secrets? What are the secrets that Arisa kept from her? Can Tsubasa still protect Arisa or is it to late? Discover all of those things (or at least most of them) when you read Arisa volume one. But be prepared for the intense cliffhanger at the end! You'll definitely want to have the second volume on hand. Something else I should mention is that Arisa is a quick read. I read it in less than 30 minutes! So don't count on it for anything long term or lasting, just read it for the intriguing story! For fans of: St. dragon girl or Amazing agent Luna
