Amarse, Respetarse Y... Traicionarse: (Love, Respect, And... To Betray) (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

After a one-night stand with her boss on Christmas Eve, Callie Woodville found herself pregnant and fired! She should have known better, Eduardo Cruz is known for his one-night stands! So, eight and a half months later, Callie is waiting to marry her best friend and move back to North Dakota in order to give the baby a name when Eduardo shows up, whisks her off to the Court House for a new marriage license and the intention of a wedding with a Justice of the Peace but Callie goes into labor! A quickie wedding in the Labor Room and a new daughter and Callie is wed to the mighty Eduardo. As time goes by, Callie wonders why she doesn't hear from her family despite an ocean between them. Does Eduardo dare admit the truth?I thought Eduardo was manipulative in the extreme and Callie extremely naive to put up with his dictates. Sometimes I wondered why she didn't stand up for herself much earlier! I love the build up of this story. The emotions were strong, and story flowed like a river throughout the book. At the start of this book it was so easy to hate Eduardo who was Callie's boss of 3 years. At the end of the book he won my heart over. He made mistakes, but some of his mistakes were out of the love he found in his heart for Callie. He didn't think he could ever love anyone, and was shocked at his own feelings, and emotions that he found he did have for Callie. Callies character was easy to love too, she pulled at my heartstrings as I read this book. I would recommend this book, if you like a really good romance. I love books where people change for the better. The characters who you love to hate, would love to shout at, or throw something at, weave a place into your heart by the end of the book!
