A Whole Nother Story (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

This book is a really good book. It is cool how the children in this book have to change there names to be safe form an evil corporation that wants to steal their fathers invention. This book starts out with the Olivia Cheeseman getting murdered by the mysterious Mr. 5. Olivia and her husband, Ethan Cheeseman, are working on a huge project called the L.V.R. That is a machine that can transport you back in time. The mysterious Mr. 5 was put on the job of steeling the magnificent machine. Because Olivia is such an obstacle, he murders her by pretending he is her doctor and gives her some a deadly combination of medication. The Cheeseman's are on the run from Mr. 5. In order to be safe from Mr. 5 the children have to change their names every time the go on the run. They have lived in about five different houses. I think anyone can read this book. It is full of adventure, mystery, and advice. This book is one of my favorites. There are three books in the series. "If I could give you all just one word of advice, it would be .... well, an incomplete sentence." Thus begins the quirky, humorously spun tail of Mr. Ethan Cheeseman, his pleasant, witty, polite and relatively odor free three children whose names change, and their hairless dog, Pinky. The book is full of word play, mystery, and humor, and is a great read for middle school readers in search of something different. Thank you, Ryan R., for introducing me to Dr. Cuthbert Soup and the ONLY good recipe I've ever read (and I've read a lot) for squash.
