A Matter Of Justice (2008) - Plot & Excerpts

This may be my favorite Ian Rutledge book yet. The crime he solves is very interesting and there are some unexpected twists and turns. Rutledge's character is well-written in this one and the reader can get a sense of the zeal for justice that he has. He seems like such a pleasant person it is always surprising how hostile other characters are toward him. Hamish is quite active in this book which makes me think that there were things going on that made Rutledge feel guilty and brought the war back up for him. I love the way Charles Todd completes the circle of violence in this book. Truly "you reap what you sow" becomes quite evident. I like to be original in my reviews. Unfortunately reading the Charles Todd mysteries I can't do better than being redundant...."I only recently (within the last two months) began to read the Ian Rutledge Mysteries. I am exceptionally impressed with Charles Todd (and his mother) for writing such a series. I go from one book to the next - without hesitation and in anticipation."... All I can say is if you want to read the series - buy ALL the books at the same time and read them in order !!!

What do You think about A Matter Of Justice (2008)?

The Todds get better and better. this was an excellent murder mystery with a twist at the end.

The books in this series are solid good reads. This one is no exception.
