Lynette's husband, the Norman baron Robert Malet has returned from the dead. Saved from his injuries and restored to health, he's reclaimed his wife from her husband of six months, her former fiance and childhood friend, the Anglo Saxon Earl, Lord Edgar Grimm. Although his wife is pregnant with their child, he's forced to relinquish his rights to both his wife and child to her now living first husband. But he vows he will not give up so easily.
