Tutto Per Un Cane (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Everything For A Dog was written by Ann M. Martin. The book, published by Scholastics, is 211 pages long. The cover of the book is a dog, which looks like a Golden Retriever. By looking at the book cover I predicted that the dog was stray and that a person was trying to make him a pet, since he is around a collar. About a third way through the book, (pg.56)Bone was found by two ladies that forced him to leave his sister, Squirrel. One of the ladies take him home. The lady, who's name is Isabel has a baby and Isabel and her husband, Thad, don't like having a dog around anymore. I dislike how Isabel and Thad leave Bone alone when they decide to move to another home. The pace is nice and quick, allowing the reader to stay focus and wanting to read more. There are also different point of views from, Henry, Bone, and Henry's dad-Charlie. About two-thirds of the way, (pg.124), Henry has seen Bone for the first time and all he wanted all his life was a dog. Henry is angry at his parents because they would take Bone to the pound instead of letting him keep Bone. I dislike how Henry's parents don't like how much he wants a dog and when he told them that he saw a dog they said he should fin the dog so they could take him to the pound. Overall this book was exciting because the reader wanted to know what would happen next and there were unpredictable twists and turns. Anna did a fantastic job panting a clear picture in the readers mind. This author has written a powerful, heartfelt novel that's perfect for anyone who has ever longed for a dog, or loved one. A wonderful dog story about Bone and his adventure to find an owner. Bone and his sister realize as young puppies that their mother is never coming back and needs to live on their own. All Henry wanted was a dog to own and his parents won't let him have one. Charlie is dealing with the loss of his brother and has to suffer another tragedy. All three lives come together in this amazing story. Upper elementary will love this book!
